Thank you everyone who came to my event the other day 😀 It was a lot of fun.

I think my performance for the reading was better than the first time, too.

Here are some short recordings of the reading! 😀

Why I’m Scared of Completing The Cycle of the Six Moons

Barely a month has passed since the release of the second book in the Cycle of the Six Moons trilogy, An Eclipsing Autumn, and already I’ve jumped into the first of many edits for The Last Winter Moon.

Since April began, I put off opening the document containing book three for eleven whole days.  I’m halfway through it as I write this post, and oh my gosh I can’t wait to share it with everyone, but I wanted to take a moment to think about why I’m so terrified of completing it.

Outline vs. Actual Book

I’m an outliner. I daydream up a story while I’m lying in bed, unable to sleep ’cause I can’t shut off my thoughts, and when I know that the thoughts in my head are definitely what I want to write, I write ’em down and make an outline. Then I get on to the actual story writing!

I thought it’d be a fun idea to go through my outline of The Starriest Summer and see what deviates from the actual book 😀 I only took screenshots of a few parts.

Interview with I Read Indie

Check out this interview and promo post with Mandy at I Read Indie 😀

*What has been the toughest criticism given to you as an author?

I think what took me the longest time to digest was when a friend told me that my writing was niche and wouldn’t work in the mainstream market.  I had been trying for years to snag an agent, and recently decided to self-publish my own work and send it on its way out into the world.

Behind the Cover of The Last Winter Moon

CSM April Fool's

Welp, if you couldn’t tell from watching yesterday’s video, the “cover reveal” for the third book in the Cycle of the Six Moons trilogy, The Last Winter Moon, was an April Fool’s Joke.

HOWEVER, Gediyon’s voice actor, John Archer, actually did create the above artwork.  I got into a Skype call with him like I do when I direct him for the shorts, and he shared his screen, took the official artwork from The Starriest Summer and An Eclipsing Autumn, and created the above masterpiece in MS Paint.  A few times I laughed, “Wow, this is aaaawful.”  The dimensions aren’t even right X’D  There’s sooo much wrong with it.

Fret not, dear readers, as the actual artwork of The Cycle of the Six Moons: The Last Winter Moon will be done by Brandon Lacey, whose work you can check out here:  The book won’t be released until late this year, so there’s plenty of time to make it spiffy and beautiful 😉

If the video revealed anything, though, the third book cover will be purple.  Hurrah!
