Welp, if you couldn’t tell from watching yesterday’s video, the “cover reveal” for the third book in the Cycle of the Six Moons trilogy, The Last Winter Moon, was an April Fool’s Joke.
HOWEVER, Gediyon’s voice actor, John Archer, actually did create the above artwork. I got into a Skype call with him like I do when I direct him for the shorts, and he shared his screen, took the official artwork from The Starriest Summer and An Eclipsing Autumn, and created the above masterpiece in MS Paint. A few times I laughed, “Wow, this is aaaawful.” The dimensions aren’t even right X’D There’s sooo much wrong with it.
Fret not, dear readers, as the actual artwork of The Cycle of the Six Moons: The Last Winter Moon will be done by Brandon Lacey, whose work you can check out here: http://blue-paint-sea.deviantart.com/ The book won’t be released until late this year, so there’s plenty of time to make it spiffy and beautiful 😉
If the video revealed anything, though, the third book cover will be purple. Hurrah!

Here’s some more behind the scenes stuff at the creation of this cover!
Discount, limited edition copies are now available in the store!
I was a total nerd when I made this video o_o I was looking around thought, “I need a hat,” and saw my Ace hat. I put on the rest of the costume, and after trying to record the whole thing in one take (which took like at least ten tries), I developed a southern accent, which I could also blame on binge-watching The Walking Dead.
Anyway, yeah 😀 Signed discount copies!
Da da da daaa!!

So here’s a fun behind the scenes look at what went into making the cover. I contacted Brandon, good ol’ pal that he is, because I wanted a vector, silhouette-style cover that I knew he could do better than I could. We talked about what I wanted to get out of it, and I sent him a PDF with all of the reference material.
