*What has been the toughest criticism given to you as an author?
I think what took me the longest time to digest was when a friend told me that my writing was niche and wouldn’t work in the mainstream market. I had been trying for years to snag an agent, and recently decided to self-publish my own work and send it on its way out into the world.
